The Main Hall was the starting point for all immigrants arriving in America. Sadly, only 10 percent of the buildings on Ellis Island are restored and open guests

The ferry back to Battery Park offered a beautiful view of the Eagle Monument honoring the veterans of past wars with the beautiful financial district in the background

The Main Hall on the second floor was filled with long benches seating thousands while they waited to be questioned.

Boy, were we glad we left at 8:30AM!!! This was the crowd back at Battery Park at 3:00 PM.
