On the way to Radio City Music Hall for the 2:00
show. The 10 mile ride took almost 55 minutes thanks to midday
rush hour.
It's a given fact you will spend a lot of times in tunnels or on
bridges on the way to Manhattan. We'd choose the bridges over the
tunnels anytime. The view is better and there are much fewer fumes.
View of Grand Central Station from being stuck in the
middle of the road. We learned quickly that a New York Second is
the length of time between when a light turns green and the first horn
goes off.
The lobby of the Radio City Music Hall. Right after I took this photo,
the usher warned me that might camera would be confiscated during the
show if I took pictures. Yeah, boy, I'm worried...
View of the lobby from the 2nd Mezzanine lobby.
The gift shop in the lobby. Not a big crowd
before the show, but a HUGE must see afterwards. Even we stopped by for
purchases. At least to get a Radio City shopping bag.
My music CD eventually would set off the alarm inside
the Warner Brother's Store. :o) BUSTED!
When the two Mighty Wurlitzers roared out of the
curtains playing Christmas carols there was a waterfall of flashbulbs
going off. Let's see those ushers confiscate 2000 cameras now.
Not sure why the guy on the right had to play without
music. Maybe he left it in the cab? Or the 40 mph wind gusts blew it out
of his hands on the way to the show?
Here's the world famous Radio City Music Hall Rockettes
celebrating their 75th Anniversary!
Even though this was probably their 100th show of the
season, it was as energetic as their first. Every seat in the hall
was full at show time.
